Enrolled himself in the Bar Council of Tamilnadu and Puducherry in the year 1987, after his enrolment, he has joined the office of his father late Sri.N.Rangaraj, Advocate, Trichy, who was a Member of Bar Council of Tamil Nadufrom 1972 to 1994, and Member of Bar Council of India from 1976 to 1988 and Vice Chairman of Bar Council of India from 1982 to 1984; practised there till 1991,

After a stint of practice in all courts in Trichy district till 1991, he has shifted his practice from Trichy to Madras and joined the office of Shri.M.Venkatachalapathy, Senior Advocate and assisted him in various cases of original and appellate side jurisdiction of Madras High Court representing various public sector undertakings, companies and various types of institutions etc,.

After the formation of a Madurai Bench of Madras High Court in the year 2004, he set up his practice also in Madurai in all civil, writ and criminal etc., jurisdiction with the assistance of the group of persons mentioned below.
